Spiroworld is a multimedia science-fiction short-story, presentend in the form of a digital article. The visual astethic and the interaction design lead to a compelling digital storytelling.
The characteristics of a spirograph (a child‘s toy) is transformed into a new context. The animated fractal pattern create a mystical outer space atmosphere. Combined with the paralax effect a feeling of depth is suggested. The user experiences the story of a protagonist, who is in charge of creating new planets. While doing so, he is confronted with several problems which leads to courageous decisions.
